About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Gameplay Programmer to join our team and help create engaging gameplay experiences. You will work closely with designers, artists, and other engineers to develop, optimize, and maintain gameplay systems and features while contributing to the technical direction of the project.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain gameplay systems and mechanics.
  • Collaborate with designers to translate gameplay ideas into polished in-game features.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient C++ code.
  • Debug, profile, and optimize gameplay code for performance and stability.
  • Work closely with animation, AI, UI, audio, and tools teams to integrate gameplay features.
  • Review code, mentor junior programmers, and promote engineering best practices.
  • Estimate tasks, identify technical risks, and contribute to project planning.
  • Ensure gameplay systems are scalable, reusable, and production-ready.
  • Stay up to date with modern game development techniques and technologies.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of professional game development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in C++ and object-oriented programming.
  • Experience developing gameplay systems for PC and/or console games.
  • Strong understanding of gameplay architecture, design patterns, and debugging techniques.
  • Experience with at least one commercial game engine (preferably Unreal Engine).
  • Good understanding of mathematics, physics, and performance optimization.
  • Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional development environment.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience shipping one or more AAA or high-quality commercial titles.
  • Familiarity with multiplayer gameplay systems and networking.
  • Experience with animation systems, AI, or character controllers.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages and build pipelines is a plus.
  • Experience mentoring or leading small technical initiatives.
